SAST offers the master’s program under the subject of detection technology and automatic equipment. This is a high-tech subject involving with the information acquisition and modern control technologies. This subject constitutes the automatic devices and systems through information acquisition and modern control technologies. The program is designed for aspiring students and professionals who wish to improve their knowledge and skills in the broad area of system design, development and integration. Its research area covers the photoelectric detection and image processing, detection technology and automatic equipment, as well as the intelligent control. The program pays high attention to the combination of photoelectric detection and intelligent processing technologies. The former focuses on acquiring information while the latter targets at efficiently processing the information acquired, filtering out the interference, as well as enhancing the integrity and precision in detection.
This discipline has established its long-term goal to improve the national economy. Up to now a serial of government sponsored research projects (the national natural science foundation and the pre-research foundation of national defense) and over 30 research achievements have been accomplished under this subject. For example, a serial novel methods have been proposed in fields of the wide frequency measurement, and image processing and control. Also, our research has revealed the law of enhancing the measurement precision of the phase difference between any two frequency signals that periodically change over time. We have also proposed the emulation storage technologies to explore the tradeoff between the frequency temperature characteristic and the stability in the frequency control technology. In addition, various theories and methods are proposed under this subject, e.g., the distributed inferences and logic analyzing theories, the real time video processing systems, the estimation algorithms for moving targets with high speed, and the advanced image denoising algorithms, etc. These experimental results have been published in distinguished journals such as IEEE Transactions on UFFC, Science China, Chinese Science Bulletin, Chinese Journal of Electronics, Chinese Journal of Computers, Control and Decision, and Chinese Journal of Lasers. The research achievements are granted 2 national invention prizes and 12 science and technology progress prize at the provincial and ministerial-level and above.
The research topics of this program include but are not limited to: 1), Photoelectric information detection and image processing; 2), Time and frequency control as well as its applications; 3), Intelligence information processing and automatics; 4), Computer control systems and automatic devices; 5), Frequency synthesis and network testing with multi-ports.
